my hands say it better...

Yesterday was goood.

Phil and I took a mini road trip,

which always makes us happy.

We took a picnic and laughed

and were together, another happy factor.

On the drive home we had a memorial day inspired conversation.

We talked about honor, sacrifice, selflessness

and how those things are almost dead in our generation.

These days it's all about getting ahead,

getting more money,

having more things,

doing what you want for yourself.

We might not go fight in a war,

give our lives for our country

or the things we believe in

BUT

we will live our lives the best we can,

sacrificing for each other and our families.

We will do the things that are required of us

living everyday and living well

we can still change our world a little at a time.

And of course striving to live worthy of the one

who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us.
